Greetings Family! Over the last few days, we’ve seen a spike in interest of the Beyond This Place project and so I figured it was time for an update! I am filming another Behind The Scenes VLOG this week and we will have a VERY special guest joining us via Skype! Stay tuned for more details! In the meantime, many are discovering our project for the first time and are asking “How can I (or my chapter) help? I’ve put together a quick list of helpful actions you can take to support the Beyond This Place movement.
1) Follow us online on our social media pages: facebook.com/beyondthisplace and twitter.com/beyondthisplace
2) I’m always looking for stories, old home movies, photographs, etc. If anyone has anything, I’d love to showcase it in the film. You can send me digital content at https://www.dropbox.com/request/rySiuSs9IAkZl1VSvqVs or mail me images and video at 610 N. Main Street, Ste. #113, Blacksburg, VA 24060. Please send the highest resolution files possible. The more megabytes…the better. 🙂
3) If anyone would like to contribute to this project financially, they may do so at our Gofundmepage. https://www.gofundme.com/beyondthisplace We are also setting up a Patreon account for those who would like to offer ongoing support.
4) I’m always looking to interview people we consider prominent members of our organizations. While I believe the story and mission of our organizations should be highlighted by all of those members who hold high our aims, the gatekeepers of film and people who have the resource of financing are always attracted to celebrity. If you, your friends and sorors have any connections to those personalities, I would love to invite them to participate in this project.
The beautiful thing about bringing this project to the community at it’s neophyte stages is that there is a lot of room for suggestion. We’re still in the pre-production/early production stage. I’d love to hear your thoughts about what should be included in this work. Feel free to contact me at info@beyondthisplace.com or through my social media profiles. I’m always looking for great stories to tell. If you have some great examples of extraordinary service, please let me know so we can document it! Thank you!

I find this project very interesting, necessary and relevant to our times. I feel that I have something to share as Life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. I have over 26 years of observation. Initiated at a predominately White University East Carolina University then transferring to an HBCU Howard University and becoming a face of Omega for that community. Traveling the world I have encountered many, young, old, professionals, non person’s of color that wonder what is the NPHC and the great organizations.
